Overview

Project Background

Sanvaru Technology, in partnership with Jio-BP (the Reliance-BP joint venture for mobility and EV charging), deployed a Battery Energy Storage System to support high-power EV charging infrastructure. Ingro Energy provides the complete Energy Management System, from edge-level data acquisition to cloud-based monitoring, ensuring reliable, grid-friendly charging operations with real-time battery health visibility.

High peak-to-average power ratio, DC fast chargers create sudden 500+ kW demand spikes that stress the local distribution network

Grid capacity constraints, ideal charging locations have limited grid capacity, making direct high-power connections infeasible

Charging demand unpredictability, EV charging varies dramatically by time-of-day, traffic patterns, holidays, and weather

Battery health monitoring complexity, cell-level BMS monitoring while managing PCS dispatch, thermal systems, and grid interface

What We Delivered

Edge-Level Data Acquisition: Custom BMS parser extracting cell voltages, temperatures, SoC, SoH, and fault codes at 1-second intervals via Modbus TCP

Real-Time Cloud Dashboard: All telemetry streamed to Ingro's cloud platform with live visibility into battery health, charging sessions, and alarms

Intelligent Dispatch: EMS coordinates battery charge/discharge, pre-charging during off-peak, supplementing grid during peak demand, converting 200 kVA grid connection into 500+ kW capability

Automated Protection: Safety interlocks that autonomously reduce or halt discharge when parameters exceed safe limits

Process Management: PM2-based application management with auto-restart and error logging ensuring 24/7 uptime
